Porto Vivo, an urban forest between the Karst and the city

Previously known as the Porto Vecchio, the old port now comes back to life and becomes the Porto Vivo. An urban forest between the Karst and the city, as a catalyst for development and enhancement of the attractiveness and economic, tourist, cultural and landscape potential of Porto Vecchio.

With the Porto Vivo initiative, the Municipality of Trieste wishes to share a vision what the future of the port area will be. Porto Vecchio is gradually returning to life and for this reason it will become Porto Vivo, the living port, an urban forest between the Karst and the city.

As part of this initiative, by framing the QR Code, it is possible to visit the website where descriptions of all project elements, general presentation videos and interviews with the administrators and designers involved can be consulted. From the website you can also enjoy an interactive experience through the virtual tour that lets you explore the areas of the port managed by the Port Authority, but which are not yet open to the public.
